Plant the Pugster Pink® Butterfly Bush in full sun, in any well-drained soil, including sandy soils that dry easily. It is drought resistant once established, and it thrives and blooms best in hot, drier conditions. Remove the spent flower heads quickly, to encourage continuous flowering, and prune in spring, once the new shoots appear. Growth may be slow to begin in cold zones, so don’t assume it has died. This plant rarely suffers from pests or diseases, and deer normally leave it alone.
