The Rose Creek Abelia is a beautiful but easy-to-grow evergreen flowering shrub. It grows 2 to 3 feet tall and up to 4 feet wide, filling beds with glossy, rich green foliage. It blooms from spring to fall with bright white blooms carried in persistent rosy-pink clusters that remain colorful after the flowers are gone. Plant it along the front of beds, or beside paths and driveways. Fill planter with it for terraces and balconies or grow it at the cottage with other easy-care plants.
The Rose Creek Abelia will bloom best in full sun, but it grows well in partial shade too. Plant in moist but well-drained soil for the lushest growth, but it is drought-tolerant once established. It can be trimmed by one-third in spring to keep it neat and blooming profusely, and pests and diseases hardly ever bother it at all. In zone 6 it may lose some stems in winter, but it comes back and still flowers perfectly.
