Diana Hardy Hibiscus is a wonderful late-blooming deciduous shrub with 5-inch pure-white flowers that appear continuously from summer to frost. It forms a vase-shaped upright plant growing between 4 and 8 feet tall depending on your local climate, with deep-green leaves. This modern version of a classic heirloom shrub is perfect for bringing late flowers to shrub borders, as a lawn specimen, as a flowering hedge or as a potted tree. It is easy to grow and needs very little care to put on an outstanding display.
Full sun will give the best results when growing the Diana Hardy Hibiscus, but it will tolerate a little partial shade too. It grows well in almost all soils, except for very wet ones, and this variety is exceptionally tolerant of heat, drought and urban pollution. It normally has no serious pest or disease problems, and deer usually ignore it. Pruning in spring will give the best results and regulate the height of this plant.
