Shumard Red Oak Tree

The Shumard Red Oak is an American tree that is highly adaptable, and one of the best choices available for a large shade tree, especially in warmer areas with hot, dry summers. It grows into a majestic spreading tree at least 40 feet tall and 30 feet wide, and often much larger in time. In fall the leaves turn brilliant crimson, even in states not known for fall color.
