Variegated Liriope

The Variegated Lily Turf has glossy green leaves striped with shiny white. It grows steadily to become a lively and interesting ground cover, in sun or shade, beneath your trees and shrubs. Plant the Variegated Lily Turf in any well-drained soil, from sand to clay. It grows best in neutral or acidic soils, but this is not a fussy plant, so most gardens provide suitable conditions. New plantings should be watered regularly, but once established it is very drought resistant. Hot, humid conditions do not bother it, and it is hardy from zones 6 to 10. It has no significant pests or diseases, it is resistant to deer, and once established it will block the growth of weeds. Clip or mow it in late winter or early spring, to remove the old growth and flower stalks. It will quickly sprout a full covering of new, fresh foliage. No other care is needed.
